HAPPY BIRTHDAY KINSLEY!!

Happy first birthday to our sweet baby girl!  We can't believe it has been a year already!  We are so lucky to have such a happy, smiley, easy-going and fun little girl!  You have made this last year the best of our lives!  We love you so much Kinsley!!!

A quick update on our girl!  At her 1 year doctor's appointment, Kinsley weighed 20 lbs 1 oz (34th percentile) and was 29" tall (47th percentile).  Her head continues to be in the 70-something percentile, because of all those brains, I'm sure!  :)  The doctor said she was doing just great!

At one, Kinsley knows a bunch of words, including:  Mama, Dada, Nana, Papa, this, ball (her favorite, which sounds more like baow), Bubba, baba (bottle), book, duck, baby, and there are a few more.  She also knows several different animal sounds:  doggy, kitty cat, sheep, horsey, snake, cow, and elephant (and we are close on lion and duck!)  She just got her 7th tooth (4 on top and 3 on the bottom now), and we've never known she was even teething, she has been so good!  She loves to dance, and grooves to every single beat of music she hears (and even some sounds that aren't music)!  She also randomly sings/babbles along to music when she thinks there should be words!  :)  She loves being outside just like Mom and Dad, and especially loves swinging in her swing and going to the pool!  She seems to have no fears of anything at this point!  She also loves to give kisses...she leans over with her mouth wide when we ask her for a kiss, or just does it on her own several times a day!  She is eating almost exclusively real food, and is loving trying new things!  Occasionally, she does find something she doesn't like, and spits it right out!  She made the transition over to whole milk without trouble at all, and we are using up our last tub or formula (so exciting for Mom and Dad!).  Finally, and most excitingly, she has started taking steps all by herself!!! (video below).  We know fully walking is just right around the corner!

At her birthday dinner at Spin pizza!  She refuses to sit normally in any seat (highchair, cart at the grocery store, etc.) and always has at least one leg in the wrong hole!  At this dinner she wanted to sit backwards to see the restaurant (maybe she gets that from Papa?)  :)  However, she did LOVE her birthday pizza and gelato!
