A Year and a Half!!!

Kinsley turned 18 months old this month...we can't believe our baby is a year and a half already!  Time flies!  I'm going to bore everyone with some updates on what she's up to so I can remember!  At her 18 month check up Kinsley was 32 inches tall (59%), 25lbs 4oz (63%), and her head was in the 85th percentile!  The doctor said she is doing just great (aside from an ear infection).  She got two shots this time but was a trooper and only cried for a minute.

Kins is talking up a storm these days!  We have tried to keep a count, and had a list of 60 or so words that she says (and uses correctly) as of 18 months old!  She surprises us all the time with new words that she must learn at daycare.  The other day I was putting her diaper on and she grabbed it from me and said "Elmo!" (Elmo is on her diapers)  I had no idea she even knew that word!

A few of her favorites...first, she LOVES to dance.  We had an old CD in a CD player in the basement that she discovered (I think it's TLC, we are so cool), and Kins insists on dancing to it at least once a day!  She runs downstairs and right over to the table where the CD player is and pushes all the buttons until Mom or Dad come over to push the right ones so she can dance!  She has some pretty sweet moves!  We also now have a toy area in the basement so she wants to be down there all of the time!  She also LOVES to feed Bubba.  We have to keep the container of dog food on the counter or Bubba would be quite obese!  So now we get it down twice a day and let her scoop the food into his dish.  We bought her the Disney movie Cinderella for Christmas, and she fell in love with it right away!  We definitely limit her TV time, but she always gives it a shot by running over to the TV (she calls it tee tee), pointing and yelling "Rella, Rella!"  If allowed, she could watch that movie all day every day I think!  :)  She also loves her babies, and all animals, especially her "Baa", a stuffed animal sheep that she sleeps with.  She calls all animals by the sounds they make!  :)

She is becoming very independent and likes to do things by herself!  She brushes her teeth, eats with a fork or spoon pretty well (still a bit of a work in progress), can open every door in the house (we have the straight handles rather than actual door knobs, which was not good planning by our builder!), climbs up on anything she can, and also climbs down the doggie steps to get off of our bed (we are hoping she will teach Bubba this as he only goes up), reads books to her babies, loves to swing and slide at the park, RUNS around the house full speed, and grabs grapes out of the fridge to feed herself!  She eats really well, pretty much anything we give her, except for veggies...she loves broccoli and peas, but that is it from the vegetable category.  We are working on it!

Here is our cutie on her 18 month birthday!

Eating her baby's pretend food!  :)
Our BFFs Anna and Reese came to visit us on Kins's 18 month birthday!  Our good friends, Lisa, Luke and Ben also came the next day and I managed to not take a single picture of them!  Grrr!
Here is Kins showing Reese how to play her cookie game!
Riding Nay in her fireman's hat!  :)
We had a random little photo shoot on Kinsley's chair...I'm going to post a ridiculous amount of the pictures because I think they are too cute together!  Here goes...
BFFs!
So calm and collected
Hmm, what could they both do that might make them smile?  Oh, how about clapping?
Clapping is really fun!
Out of control clapping!
Standing ovation!
Being silly...
Tired from all that excitement!

Photo shoot is over...?
Oh no, one last booty shot!  I swear we did not tell them to do this, it just happened!  Love these little girls!
